Our roots

Tribo Technologies was founded as a spin-off of the Chair of Machine Elements and Tribology at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg to provide simulation software and innovative testing and development services in the field of tribology.

Our location

You will find us in the "Innovations- und Gründerzentrum Barleben" (IGZ) near Magdeburg with its attractive surroundings, very good connections to long-distance traffic and free parking spaces including charging stations for battery electric vehicles. A hydrogen filling station is in the immediate vicinity. At the IGZ, we have office and testing space and the possibility to expand it. We are thus well positioned to continue our growth strategy in the years to come.

Our objectives

Tribo Technologies aims to put the latest findings and developments in tribology research into practice. To ensure this, there is a close link to the University of Magdeburg, to other national and international research institutions and many industrial partners.

Tribo Technologies claims to be the driving force in thermal elastohydrodynamic simulation with its proprietary software Tribo-X and Tribo-X inside ANSYS. To further round off our simulation offer, we also use other simulation solutions such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Method (FEM) and Multi-Body Simulation (MBS). Furthermore, we have many years of expertise in tribological testing and damage analysis. The technologies we use, their needs-based combination and the flexibility of an agile company guarantee you first-class solutions for your products.

Tribo Technologies' quality management system is certified according to ISO 9001:2015. With a focus on high customer satisfaction, we are constantly developing our services and processes.
